CR Mylar bags are popular because they combine barrier protection, a lightweight package and large branding surfaces. The quote is only as good as the specification, so buyers should define the important variables early.
Size and fill weight
Give the product type, target fill weight and any current pouch dimensions. A physical sample is useful when replacing an existing package.
Stand-up vs lay-flat
A bottom gusset creates stand-up shelf presentation. Lay-flat formats can be more compact for smaller products or certain pack-out styles.
Barrier needs
Barrier depends on the product and desired shelf life. Avoid choosing a film solely because it was used for another SKU.
Child-resistant closure
If child resistance is required, specify that at the beginning and ask for the relevant documentation for the exact format being quoted.
Print and finish
Artwork count, colours, matte/gloss effects, windows and special finishes can affect structure, print route and cost.
Quantity by artwork
Share units per SKU—not only the total order quantity. Multi-SKU digital programs and longer-run print methods can have very different economics.
